In response to the requirements of the GDC MBS2 provides training to satisfy the requirements of CPD in full. Based initally in Bury St Edmunds a group of some 70 DCP has grown to over 120 since 2008. All share the same interest, to continue and complete their professional development and through their association with MBS2 have been able to reduce costs significantly. The proactive involvement of Elaine and Christine ensures that CPD is verifiable and other trainers are brought in to maintain the wide range of courses which now include the extended duties: impression taking and suture removal. The Certificate in Oral Health Education course started on 2 October 2011 with 9 students and runs through 8 Saturdays until the examination in September 2012. The following CPD sessions are now available: Infection Control Update and the Flouride Application course runs on 10 and 17 March 2012. STOP PRESS: MBS2 are delighted to have recently received NEBDN accreditation to continue to run the Oral Health Education course.
